Malawi’s Foreign Minister Eisenhower Mkaka has denied reports on social media that he had taken a Malawi-owned plane that caused civilian flights to be blocked.
Mkaka in Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland, shared a ticket for the flight to Hargeisa with .nyasatimes.com showing that the Minister was a passenger on an Ethiopian Airlines flight that landed on Saturday, December 19. Hargeisa
The minister was responding to Malawi’s Onjezani Kenani, a well-known Malawian on social media who had previously accused the minister of taking a private jet.
Speaking on his visit, the Minister said that Somaliland had seceded from Somalia and that was what Malawi was looking at.
