Puntland President Talk Why Puntland Disapproves Dp World Agreement

The president of Puntland, Said Abdullahi Mohamed (Deni), in an exclusive interview with Saab, spoke about the expansion of Bossaso port, particularly the deal with DP World.

Deni said in an interview that the agreement was not being implemented as planned, and that there are both tangible and intractable obstacles that the agreement has not moved on since it was signed, according to the statement.

“It is right the Port of Bossaso has reached an agreement with them to expand it. Unfortunately, the agreement has not been implemented as expected. There are both tangible and intangible obstacles,” he said. in Puntland, Mr. Said Abdullahi Mohamed (Deni).

He also mentioned some of the challenges that are currently under way in the construction and expansion of the port of Bossaso, including the assassination of Paul Anthony Farmosa, managing director of P&O under DP World.

President Said Deni pointed out that the assassination of Paul in Malta was planned and intended to hinder the development of the port.

“The most notable in our time is the killing of a port manager in Bossaso, a foreigner named Paul, who was killed by terrorists.

“We expect that his killing is not a normal terrorist and a planned assassination, aimed at crippling the port and its plans, and of course we are sorry for the people working for Puntland’s development to harm it, and we know it, for everyone. I know who I am from. ” said Deni again.

Finally, he discussed the recent tax revenue raised by local businesses in Puntland, a move the ministry of finance has called for to increase local revenue.
