US sends warning Conflicting sides in Somalia’s elections
A statement by the US Embassy in Somalia election in the United States has concerns is the failure to prevent the go-election will frolic allowed.
A statement from the embassy said: “It will not be acceptable for the whole country to hold elections. It is an ongoing process or a one-party election. There may also be unrest in the country.”
The statement from the embassy said that representatives of the international community in Somalia have been putting pressure on Somalis to reconcile in the run-up to the elections, given the stability that has yet to be achieved.
Somali parties are at odds over the various electoral commissions, the Somaliland one as well as the good progress in the Gedo region.
