The commander of the 60th Division of the Somali National Army, General Mohamed Sheikh Abdullahi, who visited the Dayniile area of Bay region yesterday fought with government forces and Al-Shabaab fighters.

He also claimed victory in yesterday’s fighting in the area of Deyniun, after a heavy offensive against al-Shabaab.
Mohamed Sheikh Abdullahi pointed out that government forces were aware of the attack and prevented it, according to the statement.
The commander of the 60th Division of the Somali National Army added that 12 al-Shabaab militants were killed there.
