President Farmajo to travel Barawe Somali Town

Somalia’s president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo is expected to travel to the port city of Barawe, Lower Shabelle region in the coming hours a day after hosting kenyan delegation at Villa Somalia.

Preliminary delegations and special forces that are meant to strengthen security and preserve peace in the town during the presidents stay arrived in city.

According to sources received by Mustaqbal, the president is expected to cut the ribbon of the opening of the newly renovated airport in the city.

The security is beefed up as hundreds of security forces have been deployed on the main streets of the town over the arrival of the president.

The president is also expected to have discussions with the local leaders, administration officials as well as residents of the area.

This is the first visit by the President to the Lower Shabelle region town since he was elected as President in 2017.
